Monday July 23

8:30 AM  –  12:30 PM

Would you have been a successful homesteader in Colorado? Explore the daily lives of 19th century settlers – and what life was like on the wagon trail – while learning about the Homestead Act of 1862 that brought so many immigrants west for a new life! Homesteading is a lifestyle of self-sufficiency and in this camp, we’ll work together to experience activities, such as making homemade butter and candles to orienteering and tying knots. Costumes encouraged!

Student ages: 9 – 12 years old
