True Color Effects: Youth Leadership Program
True Color Effects is a local summer youth leadership program that was co-designed in the summer of 2023 by 13 local high school students and teachers and a CSU teacher educator, all of whom identify as Indigenous or people of color.
This two-week program utilizes a tiered mentorship model for BIPOC youth and educators. Rising grades 3rd-8th students will build interdisciplinary literacy, math, business, and leadership skills through the shared development of new businesses; high school and college students will learn strategies for mentoring youth and be supported in considering teaching as a lifelong career; and teachers and CSU faculty will guide the program. Rising third grade students may enroll if they are responsible and have an older sibling in the program.
Important: This program has limited space. If you know that your child can no longer participate, please email ricki.ginsberg@colostate.edu as soon as possible, so the space can be provided to another child who wants to participate. https://english.colostate.edu/true-color-effects/
