Vintage Video Games Day!
Get ready for some pixelated nostalgia at our first annual Vintage Video Games Day in the Local History Archive at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery! We’ll have multiple stations with games available to play on original consoles spanning from the early 1980s and beyond.
Beyond all the bleeping and button-mashing, you can partake in some video-game-themed crafts, learn about the history of arcades and gaming in FoCo, and enter for a chance to win door prizes.
- When: Saturday, September 19, 2026; drop in anytime between 10am and 2pm
- Where: The Local History Archive at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, 408 Mason Court, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524. The Archive is located just to the right when you enter the main museum lobby…or simply follow the high-frequency whine of the CRT TV.
- Cost: This is a FREE program in the Archive, though donations are accepted.
- Who: Great for all ages (especially those of you of a certain era who remember Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start)
- Why: Because retro games are a great way to experience hands-on history, share memories, and show off your mushroom-stomping skills!
