Self-Evident: Women, Suffrage, and Fort Collins History

  • Date/Time: Friday, March 27, 2-4pm.
  • Location: Center for Creativity at Carnegie Library, 200 Mathews Street, Fort Collins, Colorado
  • Join staff from the Museum of Discovery and City Historic Preservation office to explore stories of Women’s History in Fort Collins, and women who influenced the city’s story in their lifetimes. In celebration of Women’s History Month, we’ll be touring through the neighborhood around Library Park to visit a few sites where important women lived and worked in the city. We’ll then venture inside the Center for Creativity at the Carnegie for a virtual tour of women’s history as told through the Museum of Discovery’s unique archives and collections.
  • Please bring comfortable shoes and a jacket dress for the weather. The group will meet in the main courtyard of the Center for Creativity at the Historic Carnegie Library at 200 Mathews St. in Fort Collins. The walking tour portion will last about one hour, with the indoor resource showcase lasting an additional hour.
  • The event is free but capped at 30 people, so please reserve your spot!
  • We will shift the walking portion indoors to a virtual tour if needed due to weather.
