School Day Out at FCMoD: Monday, September 28, 2026
School Day Out Camps feature a full day of STEAM-based activities, a professional team to lead the way, and a fun environment to learn and discover. We will explore a theme of the day, which includes topics such as music, animals, science, history, and much, much more all while making friends and having fun!
Our camps are for kids who have completed Kindergarten and are in 1st through 5th Grade.
Camp hours are 9am to 4pm with drop off between 8:30-9:00 am and pickup between 4:00-4:30 pm.
Please note that the museum will be closed to regular visitation on this day.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Reusable water bottle
- Comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes
- Sunscreen and a hat
- A Discovery Mindset!
Fort Collins Museum of Discovery provides all camp materials. We do not recommend campers bring toys, games, electronics, books, etc. A lost and found is kept at the front desk for items left behind but Fort Collins Museum of Discovery will not be responsible for items not reclaimed by the end of the month.
MEAL & SNACKS:
Prepared and packaged lunch and snacks will be provided from a licensed facility inspected annually by a governing public health agency, however we cannot guarantee that the food provided is free of allergens. Students are invited to bring their own food as an alternative.
EXPECTATIONS:
Participants will:
- Participate in camp activities.
- Honor each other through respectful verbal, written, and physical expressions.
- Respect the museum, its staff, volunteers, and each other.
FCMoD strives to create an environment that is positive and secure for all participants. Bullying and related behavior that is counter to this will be addressed with participants and discussed with parents/guardians.
